BASANTH BIRTHDAY BASH

Before cake cutting the noted producer of seven consecutive national awards Basanthkumar Patil celebrated by honoring the award winning film directors of the recent past. Former justice Shivaraj Patil, Dr Sudha Murthy of Infosys, Ananya Kasaravalli debut director of ‘Harikatha Prasanga’, SIFCC President HD Gangaraju, KFCC President Thomas D Souza, Sa Ra Govindu noted producer and Kannada activist were present at the grand event of Basanth Productions.


It is my forty years of stint in cinema. I was asking Ananya Kasaravalli in student days when she is going to take up a film for Basanth Productions. The day has come. I welcome the new director to my banner stated Basanth. As actor, producer, distributor, financier worked in different capacities but the ultimate satisfaction came to me when I started making film with Dr Girish Kasaravalli, P Seshadri and P Ramdas Naidu mentioned BP.


On his birthday Monday, 28th September Basanth Kumar Patil honored Dr Girish Kasaravalli and P Seshadri with Rs.10 lakhs reward for making their banner very proud. It is seven consecutive time receiving national award. One of the occasions President of India told for a standing applaud to my banner. That shows the power of quality of films I have made with leading directors Basanth explained.

Dr Sudha Murthy released screenplay book of ‘Harikatha Prasanga’ that is in the direction of Ananya Kasaravalli. Dr Sudha Murthy almost finished reading the screenplay when she was on the dais. I am close to Patil family. In 20 awards he received I have attended as many functions. The combination of Basanth and Dr Girish Kasaravalli is like that of Virat Kohli and Mahendra Singh Dhoni stated the pride of the country Dr Sudha Murthy.


It is my fortune to get producer like Basanthji. The ‘Harikatha Prasanga’ on female Yakshagana artists is based on Gopalakrishna Pai work stated Ananya Kasaravalli.
